We had our community Easter Egg Hunt today! This was Toby's first with us, and we discovered it is Taylor's last. It is for children 10 and under, but we realized, with Easter in April next year, Taylor will actually be 11! She will never be 10 on Easter! Kinda weird!
We were under a fog advisory, and the ground was soaked because of all the snow from last weekend melting! You wouldn't know we had over 12 inches of snow only 7 days ago by looking at these photos! Anyway, rather than a hunt, it was more like a candy pick up. All three of our kids were in different age groups, and they just had the candy scattered on the driveway and parking lot. As usual, it was pretty chaotic, but all in all the kids had a good time.
Toby wanted nothing to do with the Easter Bunny, so mommy had to hold him. Then as we left he turned and said "Bye Bye Easter Bunny!"
Here is Toby happily filling his basket with "tandy". He lasted a few minutes and was done! He was just staring at all the others rushing to get their candy. I know this is terrible, but Nate joked "we can go to Wal Mart anytime and he can stare at the same people!" You get my drift. We were under a fog advisory, and the ground was soaked because of all the snow from last weekend melting! After the candy, we came home and Grandpa Carson was putting in our new door, so to keep the kids occupied, we colored eggs. Toby had more fun smashing the eggs on the table than anything. Each kid had 6 eggs, and only 2 of Toby's survived! That wasn't really a problem, though, as all three of my kids love hard boiled eggs. They were all eaten rather quickly!
On another note! Taylor had a soccer game today, and Nate took her and I stayed home with the boys. She called on her way home to tell me she got the winning goal!!! YEAH TAYLOR!! This Soccer Momma is sooo proud!
God is Good!
