Baseball has begun!

Drew and Nate were getting ready for the first game of the season. American Legion won 11-2 and Drew had a nice hit that scored the 11th run in! He also had an amazing catch in right center in the final inning! So proud of him! He LOVES baseball...and Football... and Basketball... :)

Track Season

Doesn't matter what my kids are doing, I think I'm their biggest fan :) Here are a few photos of Taylor running the 200. She is doing track this spring, as well as soccer. Drew and Toby are playing baseball. Spring is a tough season, that's for sure. I think we had 50 mile an hour winds at the soccer fields Sunday, rain and storms Saturday, and today for the track meet was pretty nice. A little chilly, but I'll take it!

Easter Egg Hunt

Hummel Group had an Easter egg Hunt for the children of the staff at the Orrville office. It was so nicely done! They had crafts and snacks and the kids got to search for eggs. Nate has been in the Wooster office for several months now, but it was funny how the first office the kids went to was dads old office!

Here Toby is raking in the goods at one of the ladies desks!

He was so excited to see the Easter Bunny! He ran right up to her and gave her a huge hug!

I had to force the older two to take a photo, and it was all Toby could do to sit still and not chase after more eggs, even though his basket was over flowing.
Toby wasn't shy of course, out dancing up a storm with the Bunny and his new friends!

A great time had by all!

Toby's Party

Toby wanted his party at Chuck E Cheese this year, so we asked him who he wanted to have come along and he was quick to answer Dawson and Aidan! Here are a few photos from his party. Unfortunately, our camera has pretty much taken a dump, so the photos aren't the best, but here is Toby, Dawson and Chuck E

The party people!
The boys LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this thing. It was a roller coaster simulator. They must have added a dozen or more coins.
Toby and Dawson playing Air Hockey. This lasted about 2 minutes!
Happy Birthday Buddy! We love you!

Six Years Ago...

Six years ago tonight, Nate and I took off for a Steven Curtis Chapman Concert in Columbus. We spent the evening together, enjoying the music, and hearing wonderful stories of how Adoption can change your life! The ride home was quite, but when we did speak, it was just one of those moments, you know where you both start to talk at the same time, and as you talk, you realize your thoughts are identical! We both knew that we had to move forward with adoption. It was something we always wanted to do! We decided that night to seriously move forward, and we did!

Little did we know.... HERE'S THE GOD PART!!... Half way around the world, a courageous young woman was in a hospital in Seoul preparing to give birth to the most amazing little boy!!

Our adoption journey was long, windy and sometimes difficult, but there is NO DOUBT that God had it all planned out from the very beginning!!!

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY (April 14th) TOBY JOON SUK MILLS!!! We love you so very much, and so does a courageous young woman, half way around the world!

How He Loves - John Mark McMillan

This song was introduced to me by our Contemporary Worship Leader Matt Carter at Sunday Service. I know Nate had played it around the house, but until I really listened to it, and began worshiping God through it, I didn't realize how powerful it is! The driving guitars and pounding drums, the way you can just scream the lyrics out as you close your eyes and imagine God nodding in agreement! That IS how HE loves us! David Crowder*Band has released a slightly modified version of this song that plays on the local contemporary christian stations, and I love it too! It comes on sometimes when I am at work, and it stops me in my tracks! Hope you can appreciate it for what it is, a song to God, in appreciation for the LOVE he has poured out on us... like a sloppy wet kiss! No reservations!

Verse 1:
He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realise just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

Pre-Chorus:
And oh, how He loves us so,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all

Chorus 1:
Yeah, He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves.

Verse 2:
We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
So Heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way…

Chorus 2:
He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves.

Verse 3:
Well, I thought about You the day Steven died,
And You met me between my breaking.
I know that I still love You, God, despite the agony.
...They want to tell me You're cruel,
But if Stephen could sing, he'd say it's not true, cause...

Chorus 3:
Cause He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us.
Whoa! how He loves us.
Whoa! how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves us,
Whoa! how He loves.

Track season!

Taylor has decided to run track this spring, along with soccer and BASS club. She is going to keep us busy! Here are a few photos from her first track meet. She ran the 100 & 200 and did long jump. The video is from her final jump, which was not her best, but thought i would still share!

She's 13

I just got yelled at by my mom for not updating :) now that's bad :) 35 and getting put in place by my mom! I'm sure that won't be the last time either! Well, we switched to Droid phons recently which means i never get on the computer, but I will try out this Blogger app and see if that can help me keep up!

So last Wednesday was a big day in our house! We entered the world of parenting a teen! I think we are pretty lucky though! We have one very special teenager! Last weekend she and I went to the Revolve Tour, a Conference for Young Ladies that love the Lord! My eyes were opened to how mature and special Taylor truly is! She has a passion to follow God's will in her life and that includes modesty and relationships! Not that our job is finished as parents, it is just beginning, but we are blessed to have such an amazing young woman to work with!
