Thank you all for the prayers, but they said they had several people offer to go, and I wasn't chosen. I'm not surprised by that, but I am disappointed. I was really hoping it would work out for me. The timing seemed perfect, but I'm guessing God knows my heart, and knows how difficult it would have been to go and not be bringing home another baby into our family :)
I appreciate the prayers!

Please Pray
I just got a message from one of the message boards associated with our adoption. It seems that our agency is looking for a few people to escort some beautiful babies home from Korea the week of Spring Break (and my birthday)!!! I sent a reply right away, but don't know if I would be considered or not. I don't know the cost or if it would even work for us, but I do know that I would have regretted not inquiring more into it. I have my passport ready, so it wouldn't take much!
Would you please pray with me that if this is God's timing for me to go experience Toby's birthplace and the orphanage where his precious life started, it would all fall into place.
Literally this all happened within the last 20 minutes, I've hardly even talked to Nate about it other than to tell him I gave them my name, but I really hope this all works out. I'm probably getting my hopes up for nothing, but it's worth a try!

Kalahari!!!
Another great year of Kalahari in the books. Keep an eye on the Kalahari Retreat website for updates and some AMAZING videos!
Here are a few photos of the weekend! (our camera is broken, so these were taken with the cell phone, sorry for the poor quality) We were challenged by D.C. Curry to give God our dreams along with all we have to offer and see what HE will do with it!
Had a great group of girls in my room for the weekend. Here are a few of them getting ready to enjoy the Worship set and the next message from D.C Curry...
Special Guest for the weekend John Reuben..... YES!!!
And Exodus Band encouraged our students before each session in a time of musical worship!
God is Good!

How Quickly We Forget
So yesterday, I got a call from a co-worker that she was going to be missing work. It seems that her 5 week old Grandson was in pretty serious condition having breathing problems. While she is a nurse, and knows they are doing all they can for him, I could hear the desperation in her voice. I could hear her concern and fear over what could happen and my heart went out for her. I began to pray for this little baby, and the fight ahead of him, and for his family as they patiently wait for his tiny little body to do what it needs to do.
As I was praying, however, I was reminded of how quickly we forget how precious life is. I know Nate and I have been through so many various experiences that you'd think we could never forget this, but we do. We forget that Doctors told me at a young age that it would be difficult to have children. We forget that when I was 17 weeks pregnant with Taylor, I had surgery that included "lifting her from my belly" as they removed a softball sized tumor. We forget that it took over a year and lots of medications for Drew to be in our lives, and somedays we even forget that there is a young woman in Korea that is missing a part of her heart, because we call him our son! These "MIRACLES" are right in front of us, yet we take them for granted.
We, or at least I, continue to mourn the loss of our four babies that are no longer with us, as if we are entitled to have had those children in our lives. We so quickly forget that all children are a Gift From God!! We all, who receive Christ, are God's children (John1:12), and our time on earth is temporary. Yet the life we do have is a gift, and a miracle! I've seen first hand how delicate that life is, how quickly it can be taken away and much of a miracle it is to have!
I pray that if you have young ones in your life, you look at them as the miracle that they are, even when it's past their bedtime and they're getting on your last nerve! Or when they've taken scissors and cut every piece of paper in the room into tiny little pieces of confetti, or when no matter what you do, homework that should take 25 minutes takes 2 hours! We must remind ourselves... "THESE ARE GOD'S BLESSINGS"!
